The Wayne Township Landfill, owned and operated by the Clinton County Solid Waste Authority is focused on reducing, reusing, recycling and managing solid waste in ways that serve and preserve the local community best.
Our goal is to ensure the quality and longevity of Clinton County by properly disposing of waste materials and reusing and/or recycling materials in the best way possible. Management of the Wayne Township Landfill has allowed the Authority to contribute significantly to the surrounding community and to sustain and preserve the wonderful Pennsylvanian environment.

Benefits to the Community
• Host County Agreement: $1.50/ton from waste received passed on to the county, in excess of $9 million paid to date.
• Host Community Agreement: $1.25/ton from waste received passed on to the township, in excess of $6.5 million paid to date.
• Financial support to local fire companies
• John B. Hoy, Jr. Memorial Scholarships to county students: (1) $1000/year
• Penn College scholarships to benefit full-time Penn College students from Clinton or Lycoming County: (2) $1,000/year
• John B. Hoy, Jr. Charity Golf Tournament – over $185,000 donated to local charities
• Reduced the Clinton County tipping fee from $57.50/ton to $39.50/ton from 1998 to date
• Free tire collection events held each year – over 90,000 tires collected to date
• Free household hazardous waste collection events held every other year
• Electronic and covered device recycling services provided
• Free landscape mulch to Wayne Township residents, increasing property values
• Donate dirt to local ball fields: approximately 300 tons/year at a value of $4500 annually
• Donated clay to Clinton County Speedway: approximately 500 tons at a value of $7,500

• Implemented county-wide recycling operation & drop off points for recyclables
• Board of Directors is strictly a volunteer board with a total of 176 years combined experience
• Staff members involved in numerous community boards and organizations
• Provides 81 jobs in community
• Designed and constructed a 4 million gallon waste water equalization tank to assist in addressing Clinton County’s sewer problems, stimulating growth and a much needed tax base – a $3,500,000 investment to our community.

• Provide van for Clinton County Economic Partnership’s tours of dignitaries
