The Authority collects various recyclable materials that we use every day. By looking at the various categories of recyclable materials, you can see what items you can recycle, how to prepare them for recycling and what items cannot be recycled.
The Clinton County Solid Waste Authority is able to provide a bi-weekly curbside recycling pick-up for residents of Clinton County. This service is provided at a nominal annual fee establish to offset the high operational costs associated with curbside collection.
As an alternative to Curbside Recycling, The Authority has established over 20 recycling drop-off sites throughout the county. This service is provided at no charge to county residents.
In an effort to support Clinton County’s business communities, the Authority has developed a flexible and cost effective recycling program to meet the needs of commercial and institutional establishments within the county. The Authority staff members are available to visit your establishment to perform a waste audit.
Everyone has electronic equipment in their homes and eventually, everyone has to find a way to get rid of it. Electronic materials can be harmful to the environment if not disposed of properly.
The Authority holds the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Event to assist community residents in disposing of harmful household waste properly. All Clinton County homeowners or residential tenants are eligible to bring their HHW waste to the collection site.
Due to regulatory requirements, business, commercial and industrial entities are not eligible.
